My name is Pedro Diaz. I got saved in the summer of 2007 and I give thanks to Jesus Christ. In 2008, I joined the U.S. Navy and I was transferred from New York to Jacksonville, Florida. When I arrived, my first thought was that I needed to find a church. I started praying and fasting so that God would guide me because I did not want to go to a church that thought differently from what is taught in the word of God. One day while I was outside of the barracks on the base, I saw a co-worker from my command. We engaged in a conversation and he asked me if I was saved and I answered yes. I told him that I was looking for a church. He stated that he went to Victory Chapel and that it was a bible preaching church. He told me to check it out because, “They would really take care of you.” I went back to my room to pray and God told me, “You’ve been asking for a church, I just gave it to you.” Maybe three weeks after this, I went to Victory Chapel with my friend. Since that time, I have been coming faithfully to hear God’s Word. God has really helped me to grow spiritually, and has taught me so many things that I did not know. For example, I had an idea about what it was to be a disciple or a learner or follower of Christ, but I did not understand it until I saw discipleship being lived out. Right now I am serving God in the bilingual ministry of Victory Chapel. I give all the glory to God.
